Flare of Frankfurt

Three-dimensional facade in white

The “Flare of Frankfurt” is an architecturally impressive building complex by Hadi Teherani Architects in the heart of Frankfurt’s city center. On the former “Rundschau” site, the impressive building with a total area of around 28,000 square meters impresses with its successful combination of retail, gastronomy, hotel and residential space.

Flare Frankfurt comprises two buildings: firstly, Flare Business with two hotels as well as catering and retail space on the first floor. The second is Flare Living with 57 condominiums of up to 190 m² and private roof gardens. The three-storey underground car park beneath the building complex provides ample parking.

The honeycomb-like, three-dimensional façade design immediately catches the eye. It gives the building an unmistakable character. Hadi Teherani Architects chose large-format 3D ceramic elements from Lithodecor as the cladding material, which lend the facade a striking depth through projections and recesses as well as inclined surfaces.

The special construction of the SYSTEA profile system UBE NG2 ensured that the ceramic elements, which were delivered to the construction site prefabricated and assembled, were held securely in place.

In summary, it can be said that the “Flare of Frankfurt” is an outstanding example of distinctive architecture with a convincing mix of uses that enriches Frankfurt’s city center.
