Gropius’ problem district transferred to the modern age

Henstedt-Ulzburg, April 22, 2020: With the complete renovation of a 14-storey residential building on Stieglitzweg, Blumers Architects succeeded in an energetic renovation to passive house level on behalf of GEHAG / Deutsche Wohnen AG in Berlin’s Gropiusstadt and at the same time implemented a contemporary facade design.

This is ensured by Alucobond facade panels as well as the substructure with minimal thermal bridges made of L-shaped stainless steel wall brackets and the ALWI-S profile system from SYSTEA
