We give facades stability – with our own self-tapping screw

Approved facade fixing with the SYSTEA self-tapping screw – safety and technology combined

Put your trust in a system that provides lasting and reliable support for your facade.

Our SYSTEA self-tapping screw 5×5 × 19 mm has official approval from the IFBT, ensures that our system solutions are securely fastened and enables resilient facade anchoring.

Basics

  • A facade is more than just a decorative shell – it protects, shapes the appearance and fulfills technical tasks such as weather protection, thermal insulation and acoustics
  • Mechanical fixing is essential for a durable facade. A solid sub-structure, connected with tested screws or system anchors, forms the load-bearing basis behind the facade cladding.
  • Faulty fixing can lead to cracks, deformation, moisture problems, or even failure.

Requirements for facade fixings

  • Load-bearing capacity & safety under wind, snow, or thermal loads

  • Permanent corrosion resistance

  • Approval & standard compliance

  • Ease of installation & efficiency on site

Technical properties

  • Precise drilling and threading function for a secure fit
  • Compatible with our aluminum and stainless steel brackets and our aluminum support profiles
  • Resistant to weather influences thanks to high-quality materials

Installation principle of our systems

  • Planning and dimensioning

Project-specific static design for selecting screw type, anchor spacing, and support profiles

  • Sub-structure

Wall brackets made of aluminum or stainless steel in combination with support profiles and system rails form the load-bearing sub-structure for the facade cladding.

  • Fixing the support profiles

Support profiles are fixed to the wall brackets using self-tapping screws.

  • Fixing the facade cladding

The cladding is fixed to the sub-structure either visibly using screws or rivets, or concealed using screws, clips, or agraffes.

Frequently asked questions:

How do facade screws differ from conventional screws?

Facade screws are specially designed for wind loads and pull-out forces, offer corrosion protection, and meet specific construction requirements through appropriate approvals.

What should you look for when choosing a screw?

Important factors include the material (e.g., stainless steel), thread type (full or partial thread), length, drilling/cutting function, permissible loads, and compatibility with the system used.

How do I plan the spacing/positioning?

Guideline values exist (e.g., maximum spacing depending on wind zone), but in any case, you should adhere to the structural analysis we have prepared for your project.

How do I obtain the approval or technical data sheet?

You can conveniently obtain the data sheet on this page under “Download certificate.”
Note: The document is in PDF format, for which you will need the appropriate software.

Alternatively, you can find these and other approvals and certificates in the Downloads section of our website.
