A country residence at lofty heights
Urban living with all the benefits
With the Praedium, an impressive new-build project with far-reaching views has been created in a city-centre location in Frankfurt am Main, enriching the Frankfurt skyline. The Latin term Praedium means country estate and does full honour to the 242 exclusive condominiums with a direct location next to the Europapark and views of the Odenwald, the Taunus or the Frankfurt skyline.
The building complex designed by architects Dietz Joppien Hammerschmidt consists of a 66 metre high residential tower with 19 storeys and a smaller residential building with 7 full storeys. With flats ranging from 31 to 362 square metres, inviting terraces and loggias on the south side, a large two-storey garage and commercial and restaurant space totalling 1,600 square metres, it offers almost everything that today’s upmarket living requires.
Inviting facade with light-coloured fibre cement panels
With its staggered storeys and upper floors offset to the rear, the imposing geometric new building appears both discreet and friendly. DJH Architekten chose two Equitone Textura fibre cement panels in white and topaz for the 10,000 m² facade.
Suitable profile systems for every requirement
In a complex new build of this size, several profile systems are usually used simultaneously, all of which were supplied by SYSTEA in this case. The system BETA Universal II, which is free of thermal bridges, was used as the basic substructure for the concrete walls. The cladding elements were mounted on an aluminium substructure using undercut anchors. The storey-high fibre cement panels were installed in the system UBE Tergo for concealed fixing. SYSTEA aluminium wall brackets and vertical T-profiles were installed in the area of the on-site steel construction.
