Nouveau Foyer OLAI in Kirchberg, Luxembourg
In Luxembourg’s Kirchberg district, the Nouveau Foyer OLAI is a modern new building that represents a milestone in contemporary social spatial development. The project was completed in 2023 and comprises a facade area of around 1,150 m².
The building was designed as a hybrid structure: A wooden stud frame forms the structural basis, enabling economical and sustainable construction – the OLAI is also the first timber construction project in Kirchberg.
Vertical facade panels from Argeton were used as cladding for the facade. The sub-structure is based on our TC110-V profile system. Due to the hybrid construction with wooden studs as the basis, a special design was used.
The architectural design combines functionality with a high-quality appearance and contributes significantly to the clear, timeless appearance of the building. Functional and representative
Challenge & planning approach
A technically sophisticated concealed facade installation with vertical ASE hat profiles as wall brackets and continuous horizontal NO & Z-profiles is built onto the wooden structure and ensures an elegant architecture without visible connections.
Advantages & Innovation
- The hybrid wood structure offers maximum flexibility, allowing for quick assembly and subsequent conversion of rooms, e.g., for residential or office use
- The combination of Argeton panels and SYSTEA system technology combines aesthetic design with efficiency and technical precision
- Argeton facades are characterized by their recyclability and excellent environmental performance (certified according to ISO 14025, EN 15804)
Our advantages in special constructions
- Flexibility: sub-structures suitable for almost all substrates and projects
- Precision: even our tailor-made solutions benefit from precise, tension-free fixing, even with complex geometries
- Sustainability: Our components are completely removable and made from 100% recyclable materials, including high-quality stainless steel and aluminum
Conclusion
The Nouveau Foyer OLAI is a building on the Kirchberg Plateau that perfectly combines architectural quality, technical innovation, and sustainable construction.
The combination of a hybrid wood structure and a high-quality Argeton facade demonstrates how modern construction projects not only meet functional requirements, but also create aesthetic and ecological added value.
Thanks to the precise implementation with the SYSTEA TC110-V facade system as a special construction, the OLAI is a good example of a future-oriented construction method that is equally durable, flexible, and representative.
